Throughout the first semester of this school year, I have had the opportunity to work alongside Mikayla Prince as a leader of the Franklin High chapter of Threads of Care, and I can honestly say I have loved every second of it. Seeing how enthusiastic people are to help others has been so rewarding! Having the ability to be a part of an organization that helps those in need is something I will always cherish. Setting up clothing drives, canned food drives, and other fundraising events has allowed me to learn so much about leadership. Sharing my passion for community service with those eager to help and those in need has been my favorite part by far.

Recently, the Franklin chapter of TOC put together a thrift store to raise money for charity. We partnered up with the Franklin Girls’ Cotillion (FGC) to help facilitate school-wide clothing donations. Seeing how interested people were in the store and knowing how much it was going to help others was so amazing. Working with another club was a great opportunity to show how enthusiastic so many people are to help out those in need in the community. I’m so proud to be a part of an organization like Threads of Care that allows me to see the direct impact of giving.
